Archie – Columbia Humane Society

Dogs like Archie are what makes us so proud of CHS and the work we are doing. We are also so grateful for each of our adopters that are open to our program and really want to learn about what we do. We greatly appreciate the community and the people who understand that we are putting the animals’ needs first and foremost every single day that we are here. We could not successfully run our program without the support of our community and grants like the one we received from PEDIGREE Foundation in 2017. Archie had been with CHS, in total, for three years. Though he had been away with several training groups and many different home visits, he still remained part of CHS. We knew there was good in this pup, we just needed to have the time and the funding to care for him while he waited for that right family to come along and take him home. Thank you guys again for all your great support!

Adoption Update: This is Archie in his new, forever home. We worked so hard to get this loveable guy where he needed to be. This is an update we received from his humans:

“Hello Lisa. It’s been a bit over 3 months since Archie came into our home. It just seems so right that he should be with us and part of our family. We are lucky every single day. We found his appearance on DOG TV and now, sure enough, he is getting LOTS of ‘good stuff’ from their adoption packet; so thank you for giving them our info. He still says ‘Let’s play ball’… and we do every day. Plus, he always has one of his other toys with him. It’s funny to see every day which becomes the toy of the day. Keep up your good work and so others can adopt great dogs like we did!”
