After we opened PEDIGREE Foundation’s 2020 grant window on March 4, the growth of the COVID-19 crisis brought change for many, many shelters and rescues. We heard from them as they began struggling to work through challenges like social distancing requirements and canceled fundraising events.
At the beginning of April, we announced plans to transfer our 2020 Operation Grants funds that would have been awarded in December to Disaster Relief Grants for COVID-19 Support that would be awarded immediately.
Since then, we’ve provided grants to more than 100 shelters and rescues across the United States. The pictures above are just a few of the pets they’ve been able to help. The list of recipient organizations is below.
More is needed, and we are working hard to fundraise in the hopes of providing more support. But we’re thrilled to have been able to award $175,000 in funding so far to help these organizations that are working so tirelessly, through so many obstacles, to keep helping dogs find homes.
